The New Maudsley Skills
Based Training Workshop
Caring for a Loved One with an Eating Disorder
It takes a village to recover from an eating disorder. Parents and carers are the most important part of the treatment team. Without collaborative care it would be impossible to recover from an eating disorder.
A series of workshops are specifically designed to provide collaborative support with psychoeducational information and skills to parents, siblings, family members, or friends who care for a loved one with an eating disorder. With a lot of practical tips and tools based on the New Maudsley Method parents and carers will learn ways to improve their own resilience to successfully navigate the recovery process of their loved one with more empathy, compassion, and non-judgmental approach that is often impacted by the stressful process of recovery. The four workshops are based on research that showed improvement in treatment outcomes and with the aim to empower and transform parents and carers.
